This App Privacy Policy explains how Rental Boat Moraitis collects, uses, stores and protects personal data when you use the RentalBoat.gr / Rental Boat Moraitis mobile application for iOS and Android.
This policy applies only to the mobile application. It is separate from any privacy policy that may apply to the website https://rentalboat.gr/.

This policy applies to personal data collected through the RentalBoat.gr / Rental Boat Moraitis mobile app.
The app allows users to browse boats, view boat details, save favorites locally, compare boats, contact the business, request an offer, sign up for newsletter updates and receive push notifications if they choose to enable them.
The app is not an online booking platform. It does not process payments, confirm bookings, create user accounts or provide a real-time availability booking engine.
3. Data we collect
We collect only the data needed to provide the app’s features, respond to inquiries, send requested communications and operate the app safely.
3.1 Contact and request offer forms
When you submit a contact request, inquiry or “Check Availability & Get Offer” form through the app, we may collect:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Number of guests
- Preferred date range, including date from and date to
- Selected boat, boat name or boat slug, when the request is submitted from a boat details page
- Message or inquiry details
- Language selected in the app
- Source of request, such as “mobile_app”
- Submission date and related technical information needed to process the request
We use this information to respond to your inquiry, prepare an offer and contact you about your request.
3.2 Newsletter signup
If you sign up for newsletter or marketing updates through the app, we may collect:
- Email address
- Language preference
- Source of signup, such as “mobile_app”
- Signup date
We use this information to send you updates, offers or relevant business communications, where permitted by law.
3.3 Push notifications
If you allow push notifications in the app, we may collect and process:
- Expo push token or device push token
- Platform, such as Android or iOS
- Language preference
- Token creation or update date
- Limited device or app metadata needed to deliver notifications reliably
Push notifications may include information about new boats, special offers, availability updates and general app or business updates.
Some push notifications may open a specific boat page inside the app through a deep link. The notification payload may include technical data such as a boat slug or URL, but the user-visible notification normally shows only a title and message.
You receive push notifications only if you grant permission in the app. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
3.4 Local app preferences and local data
Some information is stored locally on your device to make the app work properly and improve your experience, such as:
- Favorite boats
- Compared boats
- Language preference
- Basic app preferences
This local data is not public and is not currently connected to a user account. If you delete the app from your device, this local data may be removed from the device. Deleting the app does not automatically delete data you have already submitted to us through forms, newsletter signup or push notification registration.

We may process limited technical information necessary to operate, secure and maintain the app and backend systems. This may include server logs, timestamps, request source, error information and technical data required for app reliability, security and troubleshooting.

- Microphone or camera data for core app functionality

8. Contact and request offer forms
When you submit a form in the app, your request is sent to the RentalBoat.gr backend on rentalboat.gr and stored in the business administration area.
The Rental Boat Moraitis team may use the information you provide to contact you by email, phone, WhatsApp or other appropriate communication method in order to answer your request, confirm details, provide information about availability or prepare an offer.
Submitting a request through the app does not create a confirmed booking and does not guarantee boat availability, pricing or reservation.
9. Newsletter communications
If you sign up for newsletter or marketing updates, we may use your email address to send you updates, offers, news or other relevant information about RentalBoat.gr / Rental Boat Moraitis.
You can unsubscribe from newsletter communications at any time by using the unsubscribe option where available or by contacting us at info@rentalboat.gr.
10. Push notifications
Push notifications are optional.
The app uses push notification services to send notifications to users who have granted permission. These services may include:
- Expo Push Notifications
- Firebase Cloud Messaging, FCM, for Android notification delivery
- Apple Push Notification service, APNs, for iOS notification delivery
- Expo and EAS infrastructure used to support notification delivery
We may send notifications about new boats, special offers, availability updates and general app or business updates.
You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling push notifications does not delete any personal data that may already have been submitted through forms or newsletter signup.
11. Backend storage and WordPress administration
The app sends contact requests, newsletter signups and push notification tokens to a custom WordPress backend on rentalboat.gr.
This backend may allow authorized administrators to view and manage:
- Contact requests and messages
- Newsletter signups
- Push notification tokens
- Boat list information used for notification destinations
- Scheduled notifications
Access to this information is limited to authorized persons who need it for business, technical or support purposes.
12. Third-party services and processors
We may use trusted third-party services to operate the app, deliver notifications, host the website/backend, send communications, maintain security and improve functionality.
Current or expected services may include:
- WordPress backend on rentalboat.gr

13. Analytics, advertising and campaign measurement
At the time of this policy, the app is primarily used for browsing, inquiries, newsletter signup and push notifications.
In the future, we may add analytics, advertising or campaign measurement tools, such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads, Meta Pixel, Meta SDK or other attribution technologies, where permitted by law and app store policies.
If such tools are added, they may be used to:
- Understand app performance
- Measure advertising campaign effectiveness
- Improve the user experience
- Attribute installs or inquiries to marketing campaigns
- Support remarketing only where permitted by law and platform rules

- Local app data, such as favorites and compared boats, may remain on your device until you delete it, reset the app or uninstall the app.

However, deleting the app does not automatically delete contact requests, newsletter signup data or push notification token data already stored on our backend.

20. Children’s privacy
The app is not intended for children and is not directed to users under the age required by applicable law to use such services without parental consent.
